  • Course Requirements

    To enroll in the Certificate in Community Health Nursing, applicants must meet the following criteria:

    • • Minimum KCSE Mean Grade of D+ or equivalent
    • • Basic proficiency in English
    • • Copies of academic certificates & identification documents
    • • Application fee of Kshs. 2,000 (Non-refundable)
  • Course Duration

    The Certificate in Community Health Nursing is a 1-year program including:

    • • 4 months of classroom instruction and skills training
    • • 2 months of practical training in healthcare settings
  • Assessment & Certification

    Upon completion, graduates will receive a TVET-accredited diploma, recognized nationally and internationally.

    Additionally, graduates will receive a certificate that is accredited and recognized internationally in the USA, Canada, and beyond.

    • • Complete all coursework and practical sessions
    • • Pass both written and practical assessments
    • • Successfully complete a supervised internship
  • Internship & Practical Training

    Students in this program will complete mandatory fieldwork and internship rotations in:

    • • Patient care in community clinics
    • • Health promotion activities
    • • Collaboration with Westside Family University Hospitals

  • Enrollment Information

    New intakes occur every quarter (January, April, July, and October). Apply at least 2 weeks before the course start date. The steps to apply are as follows:
