  • Course Requirements

    To enroll in this program, applicants must meet the following criteria:

    • • Minimum KCSE Mean Grade of D+ or equivalent
    • • Basic proficiency in English
    • • Copies of academic certificates & identification documents
    • • Application fee of Kshs. 2,000 (Non-refundable)
  • Course Duration

    The Community Health Assistant program is structured to provide both theoretical knowledge and practical experience over 6 months.

    • • 4 Months: In-depth classroom training with lectures, workshops, and case studies.
    • • 2 Months: Practical internship or fieldwork in a community health setting, offering real-world experience.
    • • Flexible Learning Options: Daytime, evening, and weekend classes are available to accommodate different schedules.
  • Assessment & Certification

    Upon completion, graduates will receive a TVET-accredited diploma, recognized nationally and internationally.
    Additionally, graduates will receive a certificate that is accredited and recognized internationally in the USA, Canada, and beyond.

    • • Written Examinations: Testing knowledge of health education, disease prevention, and other core topics.
    • • Practical Assessments: Evaluating hands-on skills in first aid, communication, and community engagement.
    • • Field Project: A final project focused on a health campaign, disease prevention initiative, or community outreach effort.
    • • Internship Performance: Feedback from host organizations on the student’s fieldwork during the internship.
  • Internship & Practical Training

    Students in this program will complete mandatory fieldwork and internship rotations in:

  • Enrollment Information

    New intakes occur every quarter (January, April, July, and October). Apply at least 2 weeks before the course start date. The steps to apply are as follows:
